ASSE: The Greens recover a huge check on the transfer window
Posted on August 10, 2022 at 01:00 by Arthur Montagne
Very active in the transfer window, the Greens have also seen several players leave. Some left ASSE on their own, others through a transfer. And this notably allowed the Forez club to replenish its coffers, largely reduced by relegation to Ligue 2.
This summer, theASSE had to activate on the transfer window to compensate for the many departures of players at the end of the contract or on loan. In this context, Anthony Briancon, Mathieu Cafaro, Dylan Chambost or Victor Lobry et Lenny Pintor came to fill the ranks of Laurent Batlles. But above all, the Greens will have managed to sell well in the transfer window.

Gourna-Douath, the big transfer
Indeed, relegated to Ligue 2l’ASSE has no choice and must sell in order to rebalance its accounts. With this in mind, the offer of €13 million from RB Salzburg pour Lucas Gourna-Douath was a bargain the Greens could not afford to miss.
Bouanga listed in MLS
But that’s not all since theASSE also gave in Denis Bouanga. The Gabonese did not intend to stay in Ligue 2 and signed up for €5m with the Los Angeles FC, as revealed by le10sport.com. In total, the Greens have therefore collected nearly €18m, a nice check which should be used to compensate for the losses due to relegation to L2.
