The transfer window is in full swing and is likely to offer an eventful last week. Several members of professional football are still looking for a challenge for this coming season. This is the case of Jérémie Janot, emblematic goalkeeper of ASSE.
After four seasons in Valenciennes as goalkeeper coach for the professional team, the player trained at ASSE wanted to end his adventure in the North. Eager to offer himself a new challenge, he listens to the different options and proposals available to him. Currently back in Saint-Etienne, he is patiently waiting for the opportunity that will liven up his season!
A strong staff for hopes?
It’s been official for a short time but the France U23 team is going through a major staff upheaval. After a disappointing euro hopes, Sylvain Ripoll and his staff were dismissed from their functions. Since then, the FFF has been working to find new staff. Thierry Henry, former French international and consultant on Prime Video, has been appointed coach of this team.
He will therefore be the man who will try to restore color to a promising French team with regularly frustrating results. Led by Aulas, the staff will include Gérald Baticle as assistant (former OL home and former SCO Angers coach). Finally, Gaël Clichy is the second deputy. After a last freelance as a player on the side of Servette de Genève (D1 Switzerland), the former left side will accompany Titi in this new adventure.

Janot, Coupet or Vercoutre?
There remains the position of goalkeeper coach to be filled. JMA’s preference is obviously Rémy Vercoutre but the man is in post with OL. The former club of Mr. Aulas does not intend to release his man. Gregory Coupet and Jérémie Janot are alternatives.. Rejected by Aulas? With the possible refusal of Vercoutre, the situation could perhaps change for the two goalkeepers trained at ASSE!
Rémi Vercoutre was chosen by JM Aulas (who would have rejected the candidacies of J Janot or G Coupet). OL would refuse to release him.
New episode in the quarrel between the former president of OL and his successors.
