His contract with Beşiktaş, one of the Spor Toto Süper Lig teams, will expire at the end of the season and Canadian football player Cyle Larin, who has not yet reached an agreement with Beşiktaş, made statements about his manager Nick Mavromaras transfer and what happened.
Headlines from Mavromaras’ statements are as follows:
“First of all, I would like to say that Larin has not spoken to anyone recently. All the news about money on social media is unfounded. Larin is currently focused on Beşiktaş and will finish the season here. He will give 100% until the last game. I would like to state that for sure.”
“We met with the club at the time of the Ajax match in Istanbul. It was a good meeting. Apart from that, the club president and managers spoke with Larin before the Galatasaray match. It was an important motivation for the team to return to European football. This was the last message of the president to Cyle. Later on, the contract was signed. He said he would call to talk about it. No one did. At the point we’re at today, we don’t have any communication with the president.”
“We haven’t received an offer from the club or the president since December. We respect the contract. We are always open to negotiating again. Cyle is ready to give 100% to Beşiktaş until the last day.”
“I honestly don’t know why Larin’s playing time has decreased. I can say that Larin works very well and respects the decisions taken. We all know that Cyle can help Beşiktaş reach their goals.”
“We are currently in the evaluation phase. I can’t tell you a specific team or country about Larin’s future. It depends on whether Beşiktaş wants Larin or not.”
