According to the media, a decisive role in this was played not only by his club but also by his older brother Inaki Williams, who also plays in Bilbao and is already a club legend there at the age of 30. This is symbolized by his contract until 2028, which he signed in 2019 (!) – the longest contract in professional football at the time.
It is still unclear whether his little brother will play for his training club for as long. However, it is likely that he will still play for the Basques this season.
