The EC KAC today announced the contract extensions for Steven Strong and Niklas Würschl. The red jackets’ defense is thus complete.
“In the past season we conceded fewer goals per game than we had in 20 years. That speaks for the quality of our defense and accordingly it was our aim to keep our defensive players loyal to us. Steven Strong hit back impressively last year after a difficult 2019/20 season for him personally, he was able to improve significantly again and was a consistently stable and reliable factor in our defense. Niklas Würschl is a do-it-yourself player with great potential, who has also gradually become more familiar with our game system and the corresponding requirements over the past three years. We are pleased that both will wear the red and white jersey in the coming season, ”said General Manager Oliver Pilloni about the contract extensions.
