GOTHENBURG. The hedge is close to a new big sale.
Details remain before the reigning champions agree a deal with AZ Alkmaar over the sale of Ibrahim Sadiq, 23.
Transition sum: SEK 48 million.
Sportbladet was able to reveal on Thursday that the Dutch top club showed great interest in Häcken’s right winger.
According to Sportbladet’s new information, the clubs have been negotiating for the past 24 hours and have largely agreed on the price tag for the 23-year-old. Dutch sources state that the Alkmaar club wanted to sign Vitesse’s winger Million Manhoef but were not ready to pay the price tag of the equivalent of 72 million kroner.

Then AZ went all-in to sign Sadiq instead.
The clubs must agree on the price of SEK 48 million for the Häckenspelaren, who must also be aware of the framework of the personal agreement via their representatives.
Even media information from Sadiq’s home country Ghana points to the transition to last year’s top four in the Eredivisie being very close.
A few essential details remain before the transfer is fully completed. The hedge requires Sadiq to be available for games both in Sunday’s derby against IFK Gothenburg and in the playoff return to the Europa League against Aberdeen on Thursday.
The clubs are also finalizing bonuses and resale clauses. During the summer, AZ Alkmaar sold players, including Jesper Karlsson, for over SEK 600 million.
Sadiq must also complete the mandatory medical examination.
Closes Friday midnight
The transfer window in the Netherlands closes at midnight on Friday evening 1 September.
Ibrahim Sadiq, who came to Hisingsklubben from Danish Nordsjälland, which has a resale clause, has scored 25 goals and eight assists in 41 competitive matches for Häcken.
Clubs such as Young Boys and Lech Poznan have also shown concrete interest in the 23-year-old.
