Blues in pursuit of 17-year-old starlet
Chelsea are reportedly leading the race to sign Corinthians teenager Gabriel Moscado, according to reports. The costly west London side signed 12 players for a combined sum of more than £400m during the summer transfer window, with most of their recruits aged between 18 and 23. It is claimed that co-owner Boli was keen to secure ownership of another 17-year-old midfielder, Moscado, before deadline day, but that ultimately fell through. Corinthians have rejected Chelsea’s €25m bid for Moscado, but the Blues are still negotiating with the Brazilian club despite the closed transfer window, according to Brazilian news outlets. If Chelsea complete Moscado’s transfer fee this summer, Pochettino will not be able to include him in the team, because the midfielder will not turn 18 until the end of this month. Despite this, the Blues remain keen to sign the youngster with the likes of Arsenal, Manchester City and Barcelona. Arsenal are said to have “sought information” about Moscado after he made his debut for Corinthians at the end of June. City and Barcelona have also been keeping tabs on the highly-rated midfielder, who is under contract at Corinthians until the summer of 2026. However, it is understood that Chelsea could have an edge in the race for Moscado, as the teenager shares an agent with Brazilian compatriots Angelo Gabriel and Divide Washington, both of whom came from England this summer. Santos joined the Blues. Chelsea are said to have a good relationship with agent Bertolucci and they are still hoping to reach a deal for Moscado with Corinthians.
Gunners interested in Wolves winger
Arsenal could rekindle their interest in Wolves attacker Pedro Neto in the January transfer window, according to reports. The Gunners have spent more than £200m on four summer signings, adding Declan Rice to the squad, followed by Kai Havertz and Timber, while David Rea arrived from Brentford. Germany joined on loan. Havertz can play both forward and midfield, and his addition strengthens Arsenal’s forward line. Other options include Gabriel Jesus, Eddie Nketiah, Bukayo Saka, Gabriel – Martinelli, Leandro Trossard and Reese Nelson. However, manager Mikel Arteta is thought to be open to the prospect of recruiting a new winger this summer to provide competition for star man Saka, who has started 84 consecutive league games for the Gunners. Arsenal will soon be seeking a balance between the Champions League and the domestic league and are believed to be long-time admirers of Wolves winger Neto, who has spent the past four years at Molineux. According to British media reports, Arsenal have inquired about the possibility of a move for Neto this summer after opting not to pursue the 23-year-old 12 months ago, when he was worth around £50million. Although Neto’s summer move to the Emirates Stadium failed to materialize, another report in the British media claimed that Wolves were prepared to re-evaluate the north Londoner’s interest in the January transfer window. Since joining Wolves from Braga in the summer of 2019, Neto has scored 11 goals and provided 16 assists in a total of 115 appearances in all competitions. Neto has been plagued by injuries over the past two seasons, with an ankle problem limiting him to just 18 Premier League appearances in 2022-23. The Portugal international has played the full 90 minutes in each of Wolves’ first four Premier League games of the new season and has provided three assists in their last two games.
Everton winger joins Saudi league
Everton have announced that winger Demarai Gray has been sold to Saudi Arabian club Dammam Collaboration. The 27-year-old has completed a move to the Middle East for an undisclosed fee, believed to be worth around £10million. Gray has teamed up with Daman on a four-year deal until the summer of 2027 and will team up with Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard, the Saudi club’s new boss. Just days before his departure from Everton, the Jamaican international criticized manager Sean Dyche, writing on social media: “The Everton fans have been nice to me but it’s hard for a player who doesn’t People who respect you play football.” In this regard, Dyche said in an interview that Gray “doesn’t want to train” and “doesn’t want to be here”, insisting that he will only leave when the club receives a suitable offer. Everton and Dammam have agreed a deal, announcing Gray as their latest signing on the final day of the transfer window in Saudi Arabia. Gray, who has not played for Everton this season, left Goodison Park after scoring 12 goals and providing six assists in 75 appearances in all competitions. The winger will be a regular in Everton’s first team for the 2022-23 season as they narrowly avoided relegation from the Premier League on the final day of the season, despite contributing just four goals and one assist in 33 top-flight appearances.Return to Sohu to see more
