In the middle of the night, the pilots of a huge cargo plane noticed engine failure on the machine. They landed in the Pacific Ocean off the coast of Hawaii. A spectacular rescue operation followed.
A Boeing 737 cargo aircraft crashed off the coast of Hawaii. The US Coast Guard rescued both crew members, the US aviation authority said on Friday. The pilots reported engine failure and tried to return to Honolulu. However, they were forced to land the Transair plane on the water around 2:30 a.m. “The FAA and the US Transportation Safety Agency (NTSB) are investigating the incident.”

The crew members were rescued with helicopters from the coast guard and the fire department, said a spokesman. A coast guard ship was also in use. The two crew members were taken to a hospital in Honolulu for treatment, according to the spokesman. He was unable to provide any information about her condition.
