Head of the Advocacy and Community Affairs of the Indonesian Transportation Society (MTI) Center, Djoko Setijowarno, revealed that his party had conducted field monitoring regarding the condition of the Trans Sumatra toll road.

“So that’s only the southern section, not the north. In the south there are two vulnerable areas around Mesuji and Kayu Agung in the swamps, the red zone,” said Djoko to CNBC quoted on Friday (27/11/2020).
Specifically, Djoko said that the sections considered to be red zones are relatively far from Mesuji and Kayu Agung. However, several incidents of crime have occurred there.
“But people are desperate to rob a vehicle, the victims are trucks that are resting, some are attacking, some are carrying cars and they are also robbing them, their capital,” he said.
