A message in the SBB online portal made people sit up and take notice: The trams of the Zurich Transport Authority (VBZ) would only run at reduced intervals on lines 2 and 3 until the end of December. The Neue Zürcher Zeitung first reported on this on its online portal. However, the VBZ now declare that this information is incorrect. The operation of the two lines will not be reduced, the trams will run as usual.
A new timetable has been in effect in public transport across Switzerland since Sunday. A week ago, the VBZ also announced that they would return to normal operations and even expand the night network.
Stadtbus Winterthur actually had to reduce its offer around two weeks ago due to a temporary staff shortage.
