“Traitor Season Two: Third Betrayer Revealed and Participants Betray Their Own”

The third traitor is revealed, and some of the participants feel compelled to betray their own.

– It was so stressful, says Victor Sotberg, who is one of the traitors, on the phone to VG.

Season two of “Forræder” premiered on TV 2 play last Friday. The “psychological party game” where 16 celebrities are either “loyal” or “traitors” has two disputes this season:

• The participants enter as couples in close relationships.
• One of the traitors is initially kept a secret from the viewers as well.

On Friday, however, it becomes clear that it is chess expert Torstein Bae who has gone over to “the dark side” and agreed to become the third traitor.

Already shortly after the game starts, suspicion is cast on all the traitors – especially Anne Marie Ottersen.

That is precisely why Bae and Victor Sotberg choose to throw her under the bus – and vote her out of the game.

– It is quite merciless, says Bae in the episode.

To VG, he elaborates:

– That was hard. After all, she had saved me by choosing me over from the loyal to become a traitor – so it was sad. But to play the game and get ahead, there were very few options other than voting for her.

Sotberg describes it as an incredibly stressful situation, and that he was unsure how Ottersen would take the betrayal.

– It was very painful. You’re a team that works together, so making such a hard choice to cut one of the team is absolutely damning, says Sotberg.

Ottersen says in the episode that she was disappointed.

– I was surprised, but it didn’t take long before I realized that they had to pounce. Otherwise they would have been exposed themselves, she says on the phone to VG.

Suspicion of Ottersen was high among the other participants.

– It was too early to rush out, but I’m not going to die from this myself. It was a lot of fun so I would have liked to have been there longer, so it was a real shame. But that’s the game.

Pleased with one thing

The worst thing for Ottersen was when she revealed to the other participants that she was actually a traitor, and everyone burst into wild cheers.

– Then I felt that I was the losing party. Then it was just a matter of sneaking out with your tail between your legs.

– In retrospect, I thought I could have been sneakier and meaner, but I don’t regret anything. I managed to trick my husband. If there is anyone you have ambitions to deceive, it is him – and I managed to do that.

Her husband Lasse Lindtner was one of the few who was convinced that Ottersen does not was a traitor.

– Has it affected their relationship and trust afterwards?

– Not very. We have been together for almost 38 years, so it will probably take a little more, she says and laughs.
