The vocational schools for nursing and pedagogy The DAA moved into a new, modern and newly renovated school building last year. According to customer center manager Markus Thum, the DAA educational campus should be much more than an educational facility. New teaching and practice rooms, spacious lounge areas, administrative units and work areas designed according to the most modern pedagogical concepts were created on an area of almost 2000 square meters, which create a feel-good atmosphere so that learning is fun. The buildings create a place where education, education, integration, art and culture come together and a wide range of projects are developed.
Training offers
The DAA trains geriatric nursing assistants and “generalist” nursing specialists in the nursing profession. The offer also includes courses to become a carer, further training and further education, e.g. B. for practice instructors and in palliative care. New features include courses to prepare for the knowledge test of foreign nursing specialists and job-related language courses. The DAA is making an important contribution to maintaining the system in close cooperation with the care facilities in East Württemberg. The DAA has been training nursing staff for 40 years and has also been training in educational careers for over ten years, with training courses to become educators and social-educational assistants (formerly childcare).
Further training opportunities
In addition to vocational training, the DAA also offers qualifications for working in daycare centers in the pedagogy department. The “Direct Entry Kita” in collaboration with the employment agency offers career changers the opportunity to learn a teaching profession with attractive conditions. A successful model that has been carried out for the second time since September 2024.
