The train, which ran from Ostend to Eupen, came to a standstill around 5:50 pm, says NMBS spokesman Dimitri Temmerman. Because a technical check had to be carried out first, the delay lasted just over two hours.
“The train was able to leave again around 8 pm”, says Temmerman. “Due to the delay, it will only run as far as Brussels-South. Travelers who want to continue towards Eupen will have to change trains there.”
