Train traffic stopped due to truck that rams under the railway bridge

A truck driver drove his truck against the underside of the railway bridge on Oosterdokskade near Central Station. Due to the collision, ProRail had to take the bridge out of service, as a result of which train traffic to and from Central Station has come to a standstill.

The truck was too high for the 3.2 meter underpass. As a result, it collided with the steel underside of the railway bridge. Because part of the top of the truck has fallen off, it must be checked that there is no damage to the track. For this reason, ProRail is taking the bridge out of service.

The traffic that normally passes under the bridge is now diverted via the Droogbak, which is located on the other side of the station. A police spokesperson said that the truck is stuck under the bridge and that a recovery company has to come to free it.
