train traffic resumes its course

Shortly before 10 a.m. on Tuesday, SNCF said it suffered a major blackout on its regional network.

The consequences were significant, since the majority of trains were no longer running. Some were stationary, on the tracks.

According to SNCF, “the failure was at the regional control center where traffic management is organized”.

At around 10:15 am, train traffic resumed. SNCF teams were studying on site, in the center in Lyon, the reasons for this failure.
