Even before the nationwide strike on Monday (March 27) in Lusatia, Deutsche Bahn was experiencing massive failures. This affects several lines that connect Cottbus with Senftenberg, Dresden or Elsterwerda.

Von Friday, March 24, 2023, March 6thp.m. until Sunday, March 26, March 6Clock, Various rail connections in Lusatia are omitted. The following connections are affected:

RE18: Cottbus main station – Senftenberg – Ruhland – Dresden main station

RB49: Cottbus Hbf – Senftenberg – Ruhland – Elsterwerda-Biehla – Falkenberg (Elster)

RE13: Cottbus main station – Senftenberg – Ruhland – Elsterwerda

RE7: Dessau Hbf – Bad Belzig – Berlin Hbf – Lübbenau – Calau – Senftenberg

Where there are no buses or trains in Brandenburg and Saxony

But what is the reason for the deletion of the connections? According to the rail company, a “non-occupation” of the signal box in Senftenberg leads to the failures. Presumably, there are health-related reasons.
