Cesare Prandelli re-appointed as coach Fiorentina. He made an overhaul in the ranks of the coaching staff.
Fiorentina have sacked Giuseppe Iachini as head coach. Iachini was sacked after 30 matches won only 12 wins, 10 draws and eight defeats.
So far this season, Fiorentina has appeared like a yo-yo. La Viola sits in 12th place in the Italian League standings with eight points from two wins, two draws and three defeats.
Prandelli was later appointed as Iachini’s replacement. Prandelli brought his own carriage to fill the coaching staff, namely Gabriele Pin as assistant coach and Marco Fumagalli and Donadel as technical collaborators. Valter Vio filled the position of physical coach.
“My dream is to build a brave team, which scares anyone,” said Prandelli as quoted by Football Italia.
Franck Ribery looks set to become Prandelli’s mainstay on the pitch. The French player happened to be very senior and full of experience.
“Ribery can, he’s an extraordinary player, he can make a difference but we can’t just give the ball to him and hope something happens,” Prandelli continued.
This is Prandelli’s second term as Fiorentina tactician. He previously served at the Artemio Franchi from July 2005 to June 2010 with 240 matches: 119 wins, 59 draws and 67 defeats.
