Train drivers threaten train attendants with death

Two train drivers in Lower Saxony threatened train attendants with violence and death. The arrest showed that one of the two had already received negative attention 45 times.

Train attendants have been threatened on a regional train and an ICE in Lower Saxony. In one case, a 33-year-old man on a regional express train from Osnabrück-Bremen threatened the conductress that he would “ram a pen in her throat,” as the Bremen Police Department announced on Monday.

The background is unclear. However, there have already been around 45 charges against the man for dodging, theft, bodily harm and attacks on law enforcement officers.

In the second case, a 53-year-old man mobbed passengers in an ICE between Hanover and Lüneburg. When the train attendant warned him, he threatened to “settle the matter with a butcher’s knife the next time.” He was arrested in Lüneburg. Both incidents reportedly occurred on Saturday.
