Train conductor attacked in Brussels-North by a passenger without a mouth mask

The NMBS confirms that the incident occurred on a platform of the Brussels North station last night. “A train conductor pointed out to two travelers the obligation to wear a mouth mask,” says NMBS spokesman Bart Crols. “One of the two did not want to put on his mask and that has degenerated into a physical aggression against the train conductor.”

In “The seventh day” from Minister of Mobility Georges Gilkinet (Ecolo) his solidarity towards the train conductors. “They did a very good job during the pandemic,” says Gilkinet. “I cannot accept this.”

Gilkinet emphasizes that there is not often aggression, but there are tensions as in the rest of society.
