The expansion will include new assembly lines, robotic welding and laser cutting tables to build dump trucks. This will not only increase production capacity, but also reduce labor costs by 10%. As a result of the expansion, Trailstar plans to hire an additional 70 employees, bringing the total number of employees in Smith City to 150.
The new facility will enable better inventory management and product quality control. Currently, trailers, parts and inventory are stored both indoors and outdoors. With the expansion, everything will be stored indoors, allowing for better inventory management and preventing parts from degrading due to exposure to the elements.
