– Prior to the accident, the police received several telephone calls from motorists who responded to the trailer’s driving. Several described near misses, says operations manager in the Agder police district, Knut Odde.
When the police were notified of the accident, they were all on their way to stop the trailer.
– The driver is suspected of drink-driving and a blood test will be secured. He will also be arrested, says Odde.
The driver unharmed
Around 11:30 there was manual routing in the city.
Then the road had been closed for well over an hour.
– The driver appears unharmed, but is taken to hospital for a check as there are major material injuries, says Odde.
The police were notified of the trailer overturn at 10 o’clock on Saturday.
Ulykkesstaden is located a few kilometers east of Flekkefjord, and is the main thoroughfare between Kristiansand and Stavanger.

Car mountains on the road
– Bilbergar is on the way, but it is unclear how long it will take to clear the road, Odde said shortly after the accident.
The police ask people in line to be patient and not start driving in the opposite direction.
– This will create dangerous situations, the operations center informs the Agder police.
There is a detour via county road 4160 Feda, Vegtrafikksentralen informs.
