Scream VI moves the plot from Woodsboro to New York with the new cast taking the lead in the saga
“After the latest Ghostface murders, the four survivors leave Woodsboro to start a new chapter,” reads the synopsis. Jenna Ortega, Melissa Barrera, Mason Gooding, Jasmin Savoy Brown and Hayden Panettiere (last seen in Scream 4) they will be the main artists of the project after confirming it Campbell won’t be back after being offered a sum of money that is not adequate for the experience he has in Scream (to which we must also add that a He shouted without it not being the same). Either way, Ghostface will now be roaming the streets of New York under a new identity. Who will hide behind the mask this time?
The trailer, which is basically more of a teaser, it only advances us to a small sequence on the subway with Jenna Ortega terrified to discover that the Woodsboro killer is now loose in the Big Apple.. “In a city of millions, no one can hear you scream,” the trailer reads. It is evident that the film plays with the presence of other people dressed up during Halloween to blend in and sow terror. What’s more, Ghostface himself is part of the fiction thanks to Stab (the series of films seen in the previous installments that play with the lens of the story). Scream 6 will premiere on March 10, 2023.
