Mass Bandung Raya local train, Julian Dwi Setiyono, was one of the victims who died in an accident with the Turangga train on Jalan Haurpugur-Cicalengka KM 181+700. Julian is known as a good person.
Julian’s neighbor and childhood friend, Brahma Adi Prasetia (26), said that recently Julian had become better, especially in matters of religion. He said that in the last two years he had not had the chance to meet Julian because they were both busy.
“It’s even better, apparently after getting married. In the past, he was an ignorant person, but it’s a shame that we haven’t had time to meet for 2 years because I’m out of town and he’s also busy,” said Brahma, as quoted by journalists. detikJabarFriday (5/1/2024).
The late Julian’s father-in-law, Iah Khodijah (48), said his son-in-law was a good and pious person. He felt like he had lost Julian.
“He was a really good person, pious. My son-in-law was the best. Definitely a loss, not a surprise anymore. Because I was on the train from Cianjur going to Bandung. I was told by the child (Julian’s wife),” he said.
This accident caused four railway officers to die. Apart from Julian, the three other victims who died were the assistant driver, flight attendant and security guard. KAI said there were 287 passengers on the Turangga train and 191 passengers on the Bandung Raya local train when the incident occurred.
KAI stated that 22 people suffered minor injuries as a result of the collision. KAI ensured that 478 passengers were safe.
