He was an excellent student and the low grade he received in math deeply upset him
13-year-old Christian from the 6th grade of the “Dusho Hadzydekov” elementary school in Plovdiv, who ended his life, asked to leave class because he forgot his textbook, after which he did not return. This is what students from a neighboring class told “24 Chasa”.
“He asked the geography teacher to come out and she let him go. He lives here, very close to the school”, explained his classmate Kostadin Kanchev. According to him, the boy got a double in math the previous class, which upset him. Other children from “Dusho Hadzydekov” tell the same story.
“Kristian was an excellent student, he only had sixes. We don’t know how he made a couple, we guess at home,” said Stella Nedyalkova and Simona Dukovska upset. The two girls were friends of 13-year-old Chris and described him as funny and smiling. He made his classmates laugh. They are categorical that he had no problems with his parents.
Director Grozdenka Nikolova denies that the teenager received a pair. She doesn’t know what drove him to end his life. But she is adamant that the reason is definitely not a poor grade. “There’s an investigation going on, we can’t know so soon,” she said. According to Nikolova, children react differently to tragedy and it is best for them to be together at this difficult time to support each other. “If they stay alone at home, they will be even more upset,” added the director.
Christian’s body was discovered by his mother yesterday around 3.30 pm in their home. The prosecutor’s office announced that pre-trial proceedings are underway for aiding and abetting suicide. Today the atmosphere in the school was difficult. Parents had gathered and cried in front of the building, and the principal canceled all celebrations and celebrations until the end of the school year.
