Tragic suicide in Thiruvallam due to harassment – Woman commits suicide in Thiruvananthapuram

Thiruvananthapuram – Complaint that a married woman committed suicide in Thiruvallam due to constant harassment at her husband’s house. Shahana Shaji, a resident of Vandithadam, committed suicide at around 4 pm yesterday. A case was registered against Naufal’s husband and Sunita’s mother-in-law on the complaint of the woman’s family. The family also released the footage of the woman being beaten by her husband’s family members.

Shahana, a resident of Vandithadam, Tiruvallam, and Naufal, a resident of Kattakkada, got married three years ago. Shahina’s relatives say that her husband and mother-in-law have been a victim of physical abuse since her marriage. 75 was given as dowry by Pawan to Shahana. Relatives say that the mother-in-law was harassing her by demanding more dowry. Relatives said that three months ago, Shahana could not bear the torture of her husband and left there and moved to the house in Gardthadam with her two-year-old child.

Naufal came to Shahana’s house yesterday to take Shahana and the baby to attend her brother’s baby’s birthday celebration. But when Shahana refused to go, Naufal left there with the baby. Shahna was strongly opposed to taking the baby, but Naufal went with the child regardless. Shahana, who had taken the baby, entered the room and broke the door, and was later found dead. Police registered a case on the complaint of Shahana’s family and started investigation.
