A model shared her tragic experience of having a stroke at a relatively young age. He experienced symptoms of a stroke while making love.
Misha Montana (33) experienced numbness and tingling in his face, and lost the ability to use his right side. He also suddenly couldn’t speak.
Initially he thought the condition was part of an allergic reaction. He didn’t think he would have a stroke because he was still 30 years old at that time.
“The only reason I knew something was wrong was because I couldn’t talk, and I thought that was strange,” Misha was quoted as saying by The Sun.
He started to panic and worry as his face drooped, his mouth slurred and his eyes couldn’t focus.
Misha found out that he had had a stroke in the hospital and the doctor told him that it was caused by a hole in his heart. He then began the grueling process of trying to recover from this life-changing event.
He underwent surgery to close the hole in his heart and from there began a long recovery process, which is still ongoing. Misha did exercises to regain feeling in his hands and face, and how to learn to perform tasks using only the left side of his body.
“I was fortunate that this disease was not as severe and disabling as other strokes. Severe memory loss was probably the biggest symptom I have ever experienced,” he said.
He hopes sharing his story will help raise awareness about stroke and heart conditions among the younger generation.
