The relatives of the mother and daughter who died on Thursday in one of the two shootings in Rotterdam live in unreality. “It creates a black hole in our hearts.”
“We are deeply saddened by the death of two completely innocent people who did no harm to anyone,” they say in a statement distributed by the organization On behalf of the Family.
39-year-old Marlous and her fourteen-year-old daughter Romy were killed in the shooting in a house on Heiman Dullaertplein. The relatives say they still have many questions about how the shooting could have happened.

The target amount of 60,000 euros for the family of the 39-year-old woman and her fourteen-year-old daughter who died in the shooting in Rotterdam has been achieved. The campaign on the GoFundMe site was set up on Friday by an acquaintance of the family.
On Saturday at 5:33 PM the counter stood at 60,425 euros. More than 3,000 donations have been received.
