According to a statement issued by the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office, police responded to a report of the plane crash at 4:15 a.m. on the 8th. When rescuers rushed to the scene, they found the crashed plane was “completely engulfed in flames”. Rescuers found six passengers on the plane and pronounced them dead. It is reported that the fire caused by the accident also burned about 4047 square meters of vegetation, and the fire was brought under control at 5:35 a.m. that day.
The Riverside County Sheriff’s Office said the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) are investigating. The FAA has confirmed that the crashed plane was a business jet that took off from Las Vegas Harry Reed International Airport. The NTSB said a preliminary report on the investigation would be released within 15 days of the incident, and a full investigation would take 12 to 24 months to complete.
