Witness on the spot

Jørgen Berg in the police said that witnesses at the airport both saw and heard the plane go down, and quickly alerted the police.

– Serious accident

Ten minutes later, the police reported that they had located a smaller plane that had crashed south of the airport. The air ambulance was then on the scene.

Åge Ensrud is deputy manager of Reinsvoll Airport. At around 19.40 he confirmed to NRK that a plane had gone down in the forest.

– Emergency services have located the plane. I don’t know what kind of plane this is. It is far too early to say. We are also not sure who was on the plane, said Ensrud.
