At the age of 41, BDT director Alexander Nikanorov tragically passed away. This was reported by the Bolshoi Drama Theater named after G.A. Tovstonogov in his telegram channel.
“In the theater, Sasha was known as a person not only creative, passionate about art, but also extremely reliable, chivalrously noble, decent and very kind,” the message says.
The date and place of the funeral of the deceased director have not yet been announced.
As reported EADaily , the theater previously reported that Alexander Nikanorov stopped communicating on September 21. He left the house on a bicycle, but the man did not take either his phone or money with him. He was last seen getting off the train in Toksovo on the afternoon of September 21.
Law enforcement agencies and the Lisa Alert search and rescue team were involved in the search for the missing person. On September 24, it became known that Alexander Nikanorov was allegedly found dead in Toksovo (Leningrad Region). In the search announcement in the official PSO group, the status was set to “search suspended, information being clarified.” Then the status changed to “found, dead.”
According to local media, the cause of the director’s death could have been suicide.
