31-year-old football player of Panathinaikos and the Greek national team George Baldock was found dead in Athens on Wednesday, October 9.
The cause of Baldock’s death is still unknown. The body was found in his house, in the swimming pool. No injuries were reported on Baldock’s body. He may have died a few hours earlier.
Baldock played as a full back or right back. He was born in England but held Greek citizenship due to his origins and represented the Greek national team in international competitions.
From 2017 to 2024, George played for Sheffield United, and in the summer of 2024 he moved to Panathinaikos. Just a few days ago, on October 6, he played a match against Olympiacos, who ended in a draw with the score 0:0.
