Murder-suicide last night in the Trapani area. A man, originally from Valderice, shot dead his ex-partner, originally from Salemi and employee of a cellar in Mazara del Vallo. According to an initial reconstruction, the man would have made an appointment with her ex-partner in the family business, in the Farla district on the border between Mazara and Marsala, and killed her. He then went to a viaduct at the entrance to Castellammare del Golfo and took his own life with a gunshot. The body was found by the traffic police. Investigate the Trapani mobile team.
The victim of the murder is Marisa Leo, 39 years old. The woman worked at the ‘Colomba Bianca’ cellars where she was in charge of marketing. The murderer, 42-year-old Angelo Reina, ran a family nursery in the Marsala countryside. A girl was born from a relationship with Leo, but the two hadn’t been together for years.

It’s hard to believe that she is no longer here”, says the president of the ‘Colomba Bianca’ cellars Dino Taschetta, where Marisa Leo worked. Yesterday evening Taschetta was contacted by the police to search for the woman. Marisa Leo was involved in marketing inside the cellars and, for some years, she had joined the ‘women of wine’ association
The victim had reported, in 2020, his murderer for stalking. This is confirmed by investigative sources. Relations between the two had deteriorated for some time.
