On Saturday, a man was found dead in an apartment on Frogner in Oslo.

The police were notified at 11 o’clock in the morning. It was the man in his 20s, now accused of murder, who notified the police about the death.

– Strongly affected

The deceased man worked at Bygdøy school.

– We have lost a good colleague and are all deeply affected by the death. Our thoughts go out to those closest to us, says principal Gullborg Kristin Støldal at Bygdøy School.

The parents at the school were informed of the death on Tuesday afternoon, and the pupils will be followed up on Wednesday morning.

– The school has assistance from crisis teams and health personnel who give advice and guidance, the headmaster tells VG.

– Our employees are concerned with being safe adults, and will help the pupils to put into words and process what has happened, says Støldal.

Denies criminal guilt

The accused man in his 20s is said to have shared Snapchat videos from the crime scene. The police are working to secure copies of the videos that are said to have been shared.

– We are aware that the accused has sent a video and this is a key piece of evidence that is very interesting for the investigation, police attorney Anne Cathrine Ingulstad Aga has told VG

The man was remanded in custody on Monday for four weeks with a ban on letters and visits.

He himself denies criminal guilt. And defender Espen Wangberg says that he is deeply distressed by what has happened.

On Tuesday evening, the accused man had not yet been questioned.

– He denies criminal guilt after the charge, but he wants to explain himself as soon as he is ready for it, says the defender

Assistance lawyer Thor Anders Smith Hoen tells VG on Tuesday afternoon that he has not been formally appointed in the case yet, and therefore does not wish to comment on it.
