A motorbike is involved in a single accident on the E18 westbound in Sandvika in Bærum.
The road will be closed until further notice, writes the police in Oslo on X/Twitter.
– The first to arrive at the scene started life-saving first aid, but unfortunately lives could not be saved, says operations manager Alexander Østerhaug to VG.
– Police and ambulance quickly arrived at the scene and the person was confirmed dead at the scene. The course of the incident is currently unknown, but the police are speaking to witnesses at the scene who may have seen the course of events.
E18 exit will be closed until further notice.
– It is closed westbound.
In an update, the police write that it is too early to conclude on the cause of the accident.
The police are carrying out investigations at the scene, and video images will also be obtained, Østerhaug tells VG.
The detour will be via Blommenholm.
