In a missile attack against the civilian population of Ukraine, Russia took the lives of two young singers, aged 19 and 21. The murdered Svetlana and Kristina had performed a street concert an hour before the attack.
On August 9, at 7:45 p.m., Russian troops carried out another terrible attack – this time against a residential area of Zaporozhye. A supermarket building, a church and residential buildings were hit during the strike.
One of the dead is the daughter of a soldier. With the money from their concerts, the two young girls helped the Ukrainian army in its battle against the Russian aggressor.
Svetlana Semeykina and Kristina Spitsyna are the two dead girls, Ukrainian media reported. Semeykina died on the spot during the Russian missile attack, while the other girl died a day later in hospital.
The famous Ukrainian singer DZIDZIO wrote: “Lord, only yesterday they sang and played together for the people, and today they are gone. The Russian missile mercilessly took away their voice, their life, and with it a piece of the soul of each one of us. My soul is torn with pain.” Tok also posted footage of a performance by the two girls, whose duet was called Similar Girl.
