A 19-year-old man died 3 weeks after being misdiagnosed with sinusitis, and doctors prescribed him some antibiotics for treatment.

Harvey Edwards was a student at the University of Liverpool, and he felt that the symptoms were getting worse after following the necessary treatment, so he went to the hospital again, according to the British Daily Mail.

This time, the doctors conducted an MRI of the brain, and were surprised by the presence of a brain hemorrhage and the young man’s suffering from a stroke, as a result of which he fell into a coma.
A friend of the family, Gordon Parker, said that the young man’s family was shocked by what happened to him, as he was a young man with good health and high physical fitness.
After his death, doctors could not determine the underlying cause of his death or even know the symptoms he was suffering from in a way that could be confused with sinus infections.
Sinusitis is a medical condition that causes swelling in those sinuses. It is usually caused by an infection, and symptoms disappear within 2-3 weeks.
Taking medications helps to recover if sinusitis persists for a long time, and symptoms include the following:
Pain and swelling around the cheeks, eyes or forehead.
Nose obstruction.
– Decreased sense of smell.
Green or yellow mucus coming out of the nose.
Sinus headache.
– High body temperature.
-Toothache.
Bad breath.
In some mild cases, symptoms usually go away on their own, but medications are usually used for more serious cases.
