You will not envy her fate.
The legend of Soviet cinema Nikolai Karachentsov lived in a happy marriage with Lyudmila Porgina for more than 40 years. But few people know about the actor’s first love – the relationship with him changed her fate.
In his youth, Karachentsov had an affair with aspiring artist Svetlana Savelova. She is known for the paintings “Farewell, pigeons!”, “Green light”, “Day of sun and rain”. The main role in the comedy “Seven Old Men and One Girl” brought the girl immense popularity. Everyone was sure that this was the beginning of the beauty’s success, but soon her career began to decline.
Later, many said that Svetlana Ivanovna was “broken” by parting with Karachentsov. She doted on her lover and was sure that he would take her as his wife. However, the mother of Nikolai Petrovich opposed this union: in the opinion of a domineering woman, a provincial unknown artist is not the best option for her promising son. The woman did everything possible to separate the lovers. And after a while, the star of Lenkom was conquered by the brave and determined Porgina.
Savelova could not recover from such a blow. She became addicted to alcohol, which ruined her career. Svetlana Ivanovna died at the age of 57 in poverty and loneliness.
