Chennai: Days after the young man who had come to celebrate his birthday was killed by his girlfriend’s uncle, the girl also committed suicide. Dhanya (18) committed suicide in Mayilatumpara, Chettipalayam. Dhanya’s boyfriend Prashant (21) of Sundarapuram Gandhinagar was killed on June 5.
Prashant came to Dhanya’s house with his friends at midnight that day to celebrate his birthday. Later Prashant and the girl’s uncle had a fight. Then Prasanth was stabbed to death by his uncle in front of Dhanya.
Dhanya was depressed and tried to commit suicide the next day by taking poison. But Dhanya was immediately rushed to a hospital in Coimbatore, where his life was saved. Then, two days ago, Dhanya returned from the hospital and hanged herself when no one was at home.
