The educational institution classified him as an outstanding student. He sang in choirs, acted in school plays and also received the distinction of “Best Personality”, as voted by his classmates.
“He enjoyed life, but he also wasn’t afraid to stop and help others,” Deacon Joe Nickley of Cardinal Spellman High School told local media.
Ryan Carson was stabbed by a mentally ill man
Early last Monday, the Brooklyn activist was stabbed several times in the chest by an unknown assailant who began attacking him in the middle of the street.
Ryan Carson was sitting at a bus station on Lafayette Avenue, next to his girlfriend. They were preparing to return home after attending a wedding, when the suspect suddenly appeared.
“What are you seeing? I’m going to kill you!” was the last thing his attacker said during the dispute. Unfortunately, the activist tripped over the same bench where he was sitting and fell to the ground, leaving himself in a vulnerable position that the suspect took advantage of to stab him in the chest.
Murder suspect arrested
He is allegedly a person with mental health problems and remains under arrest without bail.
Ryan Carson’s funeral is still being organized. The activist would have turned 32 on Friday.
