The grandson of world cinema star Robert De Niro, Leandro De Niro Rodriguez, has died, according to the family of the 19-year-old.
Drina De Niro, daughter of world actor Robert De Niro, reported her son’s passing in an Instagram post on Sunday.
In her obituary, Drina wrote: “My beautiful angel, I have loved you more than words can describe, from the moment I felt you in my womb, you were my joy and my heart, and everything that was pure and true in my life.”
And she continued, “I do not know how I will live without you, but I will try to continue to spread the love and light that you made me feel as your mother ..”.
Leandro De Niro Rodriguez was making his first steps in acting, and he had previously appeared with his mother in the movie “A Star Is Born”, produced in 2018, starring Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga.
He also appeared in films such as “The Collection” in 2005, and “Cabaret Maxime” in 2018, according to IMDB.
“I am deeply saddened by the passing of my beloved grandson Leo,” Robert De Niro, 79, said in a statement. “We deeply appreciate everyone’s condolences. We ask that you please grant us privacy to grieve our loss of Leo,” according to CNN.
