The Malaga actor Pepón Nieto, known for his roles in “Periodistas” and “Los hombres de Paco” is experiencing what is undoubtedly turning out to be the worst moment of his life. The death of his father last September is now accompanied by the loss of his little brother after an arduous battle against cancer.
It was yesterday, February 14, when Pepón Nieto announced it in a post on his Instagram profile. “Yesterday my little brother died. I didn’t think it could be so painful. I don’t know how to place him, how to manage it. What pain and how helpless to not have been able to hug him more, tell him more times that I loved him. I know it’s going to take a lot for me to get over this , but I also know that my family and my friends are a great team and that they will be by my side,” he wrote alongside a photo of his brother Carlos.
The actor has thanked the expressions of affection and has defended the Spanish public health system. “Thank you for your love and your messages that help, a lot, to endure this moment. Thank you to all the staff at the Costa del Sol University Hospital for their professionalism and affection. We have great public health. Please, let’s take care of it and defend it, Our lives depend on it, and it is literal.”
He has also called for investing more in research. “Please, more money for research and the fight against cancer. Oh brother, I’m going to think about you a lot. And always Carlos. Always,” he writes, saying goodbye to his relative.
