The current information shows that two girls died, one was about two years old, while the other was born just this year. Both were sisters.
Passers-by managed to pull one child out of the water before rescuers arrived. However, it was not possible to revive the victim, the doctors declared the death of the two-year-old child. Moments later, a second girl was pulled out of the river, and she was also found dead, the “15min.lt” portal reports.
The children’s mother is suspected of the incident.
Police, medics and rescuers are working at the scene.
