At about 9:30 in the morning, a man suspected to be wearing gray trousers of school uniform and student leather shoes fell from the height of Kai Lok Building, Kai Yip Estate, and lay on the open space opposite the building. Paramedics arrived at the scene, but the boy was certified dead at the scene.

After the incident, some police officers at the scene covered the body with a tent.
