An American woman recently died in a strange way after being hit by a plane at an airport in Oklahoma.
Samantha Hayes, 27 years old, was working on mowing grass at an airport in Oklahoma designated for small planes, when she was hit by a “Pananza A36” plane.
According to the British Daily Star newspaper, pilot James Baxter was flying the plane towards the landing strip at Broken Bow Airport when he noticed Hayes working on a lawn mower near the landing area.
Baxter tried to avoid hitting Hayes, but the plane’s wing struck her head, causing her death, according to a police statement in Oklahoma.
The authorities announced that Hayes died at the scene of the accident from severe head injuries, noting that the airport does not have a special team responsible for air traffic control.
