Two men died and two others were seriously injured in a house fire in Croydon, a town in south London, police said Saturday.
The fire occurred around 11pm local time on Friday, the UK’s Metropolitan Police said.
A Metropolitan Police spokesman said officers attended alongside the London Fire Brigade and London Ambulance Service and that two men, without giving further details, were pronounced dead at the scene. Officers are working to inform his next of kin, the spokesperson added.
Two other men are hospitalized in serious condition, while a fifth victim was released after suffering only minor injuries.
The cause of the fire is still being investigated.
