Tragic Fire Claims Life of 12-Year-Old Girl in the Bronx

A 12-year-old girl lost her life during a fire that broke out in a house in the Bronx. When the firefighters entered the house, there was nothing to do, the minor had died.

The incident occurred around 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, on Boyd Avenue, in the Wakefield section.

Another child, 7 years old, was rescued and taken to a hospital, where he remains in stable condition. For his part, a 47-year-old adult also survived the fire.

The causes of the accident are under investigation by the New York Fire Department (FDNY).

Two brothers die in Long Island house fire

That same Saturday, during the early hours of the morning, Suffolk County officials reported that a fire destroyed a house located in the town of West Islip, on Udall Road, Long Island.

The bodies of both victims were recovered around 6:00 a.m. after firefighters battled the flames.

Suffolk County Police are investigating the cause of the fire.
