Overseas Network, August 9th According to the British “Guardian” report, on the morning of August 9, local time, a fire broke out in a holiday home for the disabled in the Haute-Rhin province in northeastern France, killing 11 people.
The local government stated that the fire broke out at around 6:30 am on the 9th. The fire was “very violent” and 76 firefighters were dispatched to the scene. Seventeen people were evacuated, with one taken to hospital.
Firefighters said 11 people were trapped in the house, the remains of nine people have been recovered and the remains of two others are still being searched. He added that the search for the remains of the victims had been complicated by the severe damage to the homes.
