Baden-Württemberg 26-year-old dies after a head-on collision on a federal highway

Emmingen-Liptingen (dpa / lsw) – A 26-year-old driver died in a head-on collision near Emmingen-Liptingen (Tuttlingen district). Four other people were injured, some seriously, in the accident on Sunday afternoon. They are visitors to the “Southside Festival” who were on their way home, as a police spokesman in Neuhausen ob Eck announced at the final press conference of the open-air festival.
According to another police spokesman, the 26-year-old had gotten into the oncoming lane on federal highway 14 for reasons that have not yet been clarified and collided head-on with the car of the festival guests. Its 30-year-old driver and the 29-year-old passenger were seriously injured, the two 26-year-old occupants in the back seat suffered minor injuries. They come from Baden-Württemberg and were taken to nearby clinics.
The 26-year-old died at the scene of the accident. The highway was closed for five hours. Both cars were totaled.
