– Two people have been found in the sea and have been picked up by a rescue helicopter. Unfortunately, they have been confirmed dead.

– It is likely that the dead are the missing. The search is therefore being scaled back, the police report.
The two men are in their 50s and 60s and, according to the police, live in Søgne and Kristiansand.
A rescue helicopter from Sola, a fire boat and a rescue boat took part in a rescue operation after two men were reported missing in connection with lobster fishing.

– A plastic boat with its bow in the air has also been found. Relatives have been notified, the police write on X/Twitter.
At 8 p.m. the police reported that another lifeless person had been found in the sea.
The rescue operation takes place outside Langenes in Søgne.
Was going to pull the strings
The main rescue center received a report of concern after two recreational fishermen did not return at the agreed time.
– They were supposed to be back around 2pm, and the report of concern states that they have not come into contact with them. Andreas Ingsøy at HRS told NRK on Friday evening.

Challenging weather conditions
– The sea is rough, and it is very windy. So there have been difficult court cases out there, says task leader Andreas Holt in the Agder police district.
The search for the two men is said to have taken place both along land and out at sea. Volunteer rescue resources also participated in the search.
It was HRS that coordinated the rescue operation.
Two adult men were reported missing at 5.29pm today. The men are said to have been out to pull tins at Langenes.
