Three women were found dead in a brothel in Vienna, Austrian authorities said today, as cited by the Associated Press and BTA.
A witness came across traces of blood last night in front of the brothel building, located near the Danube River, and reported it to the police.
The bodies of the three victims had “cuts and stab wounds,” police spokesman Philip Haslinger told The Associated Press.
A 27-year-old man with a knife – the alleged weapon of the crime – was arrested near the brothel. Police said the suspect is an asylum seeker from Afghanistan and will be questioned by investigators.
A fourth woman was found in the brothel and questioned as a witness.
Brothels are legal in Austria, notes the Associated Press.
